Discovery Holiday Parks - Boulder

At Discovery Holiday Parks, it’s not about us. It’s all about you. We are committed to providing you with the best holiday experience in the country – good times and great memories.

With the beautiful coastal town of Esperance only four and a half hour drive, Discovery Holiday Parks - Boulder is the ideal base to explore both Australia’s rugged inland and stunning coast.

Kalgoorlie – Boulder is famous as a gold mining town and is home to Australia’s largest open cut gold mine, the Fimiston Open Pit or better known as the Super Pit. Visitors can witness the sheer magnitude of this 3.5 kilometre long, 1.5 kilometre wide and 500 metre deep pit from the Super Pit Lookout.

The town offers a range of things to see and do near and far. Such as the WA Museum that has a brilliant collection of gold nuggets, jewellery and working displays. There is also the Mining Hall of Fame which is currently reopening in stages where you are able to pan for gold, have access to a Cat 793 Dump truck and Daisy Mae engine room and also go down two levels of an underground mine. If you are wanting to do a road trip Kalgoorlie surrounds is famous for it’s old ghost towns such as Kununalling, Broad arrow, Kanowna and Ora Banda to name a few – you can still enjoy a lovely meal and cold beer at Ora Banda and Broad Arrow.

Further out near Menzies there is Lake Ballard which is a salt lake that international sculptor Antony Gormley has placed 51 figures around a 10 square kilometre area of the salt lake.

Boulder is the Capital of Kalgoorlie and as we like to say we are closer to the beach.
